Night Lights

January 26, 2010

One of the things I point out when giving a photo lesson in the field is to remember to think in terms of black and white. Scenes with lots of contrast and geometric shapes often do well as a black and white image. You can click on the image to view it large.

This is stunning, Jim! Black and white at night is the only way to photograph this area. Otherwise, it’s just concrete, old tables and chairs. I know this place well. It’s never looked this good!

    Your new blog is amazing.

I agree with Kathleen on this one. Very, very cool in black and white.
