Planthopper Nymph

This is what a baby planthopper looks like. To me it looks more like some kind of undersea plankton than an insect. They look very different when they are mature. This was so tiny that several of them could fit comfortably on a dime. If you look on the left side of the image you can see another one that was camera-shy hiding inside the protruding bit of the plant stem. I do believe that this is the tiniest creature I have ever photographed to date.
